Camp provides us with an opportunity to meet our EOTC (Education Outside The Classroom) requirements set out by the Ministry of Education.
We have two separate camp facilities this year. Our Year 5 & 6 students will attend Carey Park Camp, and our Year 7 & 8’s will attend Camp Raglan.
Both facilities offer a wonderful range of activities. Some of these include sports fields, courts, a gymnasium, climbing wall, stream, cabins, purpose built confidence courses, flying fox, fire pits and a wide variety of outdoor activities which our students will take part in.
Camp staff are on site to help us run the camp but it is the help of teaching staff and parent volunteers that help make camp successful.
These are going to be a great experiences for our students, providing them with lots of learning about themselves and how to work with others. Often when students are outside their comfort zone they get to challenge themselves to achieve something they normally couldn’t do.
