Rockin' Room 12

Welcome to term 2 2011

Room 12 have had a lot of fun so far this year and we have learnt heaps of wonderful things.

 In art we have been painting on calico fabric! They look fantastic! Some of us are going to make them into cushions. Next we will be focussing on the Puriri moth for the art exhibition. Don't forget to come and see what wonderful artists we have in term 3.

 We have been looking at Origins the last half of term two - Just the Same in Different Ways. It has been wonderful reading about immigrationin to New Zealand and how different groups of people came to live in this amazing place. We learnt about the flags of New Zealand and got to design our own.

Each child in Room 12 presented a speech to the class. There were some awesome topics and we learnt heaps.

In number in term 3 we are learning about fractions, decimals and percentages. In strand we are covering statistics.
