Room 6
Welcome to Term Two 2010
This Term our focus is on the 'Jobs' we have or do at home, at school and in the wider communty. Roles and Responsibilities in other words. We are being visited at school by the Ambulance and Fire Services to raise the childrens' awareness of the Emergency Services.
The children have settled into their 2010 school year and are all enthusiastic learners. We have a varied school day and managed last term, to spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying fitness and sports activities and completing our story writing in the shade of the trees. This will change, of course, as winter settles its chills and wintry spells over us.
We are continuing with our sports activities on a Wednesday afternoon. This term we will focus on bat and ball skills along with skipping and games. If the weather is wet then we will transfer to the hall for a gymnastics session. This gymnastics experience will culminate in a visit to the Massey Leisure Centre at the end of the term where the children will participate in a gymnastics session in the Gym and a story time in the Library. This trip is in the planning stages and more information will be circulated as confirmation is received.
If you have any queries or concerns, feel free to pop in and see me before or after school. If you need a longer discussion, we will need to make an appointment, as we often have meetings after school and/or are busy with the children in the morning. We value parent help, so let us know if you can spend any time in the classroom helping.
Many thanks -
Julie Wray
