Pohutukawa Team New Entrant School Visit Dates
All children intending to start at Swanson School are able to attend a pre-visit before starting school. Pre-visits are held in the new entrant reception class, from 8.50am to 11.00am. There is an opportunity during the visit for parents and caregivers to meet the Principal and Deputy Principal for a chat in the staff room. All children must be accompanied by an adult during the pre-visit. Please sign in at the office when you arrive at school and you will be directed to the reception classroom. Term 1: Friday 2nd March Friday 30th March
Term 2: Friday 25th May Friday 22nd June
Term 3: Friday 17th August Friday 14th September
Term 4: Friday 16th November

Welcome to 2012 in the Pohutukawa Team
Our typical daily programme begins with greetings, singing, oral language and fitness . We run our busy literacy and numeracy programmes until lunch time. The afternoon sessions includes topic activities, library, art and music. We also fit in team sports, digital classroom and assembly times. We have a busy but fun learning timetable!
If you have any queries or concerns, feel free to pop in and see your child's teacher before or after school. If you need a longer discussion, we will need to make an appointment, as we often have meetings after school and we are busy with the children in the morning. We value parent help, so let us know if you can spend any time in the classroom helping.
