Welcome to Room 10's web page!

Welcome back to school for term 3. I hope you had a refreshing holiday.

This term we have started off wth parent interviews. I enjoyed meeting so many parents and it is always encouraging to know that there are strong partnerships between school and home to support the children's learning. Week 3 also has the Open Day, which showcases teaching and learning at Swanson School.

For our learning this term, we will be focusing on:

• a persuasive writing review
• writing explanations
• expressing our ideas through poetry
• fractions, proprtions and ratios
• statistics
• a science rotation (fun!)
• our ongoing reading goals
• school cross country
• speeches
• citizenship, especially relating to the Commonwealth Games

So, a full term! I was really pleased that room 10 won the Attendance Cup for term 2. Being at school is the first step to learning, so well done to all the children (and their parents!) in room 10  for being so regular in attendance. Let's make it 2 terms in a row :-)
