The All Star Band Programme

Students at Swanson School are able to learn a musical intsrument through the All Star Band Programme. Qualified tutors provide lessons during school time.     

This is a great oportunity for our students because learning a musical instrument brings many benefits to a child's intellectual and emotional development.

Life skills: Teamwork, Social Interaction, Coordination, Persistence and Confidence.

Learning Skills: Independent learning, inproved maths & reading skills, self evaluation & goal setting, physical learning.

Learning to play an instrument directly contributes to skills in other academic areas.  It's also great fun!
